• Maintenance: Spruce bonsai trees require full sun and do best when grown outdoors. Once seedlings are established and have several sets of needles, gradually increase light until they are in full sun (6-8 hours per day); allow top layer of growing medium to dry out between waterings.

• General Information: Picea abies, the Norway spruce or European spruce, is a species of spruce native to Northern, Central and Eastern Europe. It has branchlets that typically hang downwards, and the largest cones of any spruce, 9–17 cm long.
