Cotinus coggygria 'Old Fashioned', also known as Old Fashioned Smokebush, is a deciduous shrub with a rounded, upright habit, reaching 6-8 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide at maturity. It's known for its unique "smoky" flower display in late spring to summer, where greenish-yellow flowers turn into pinkish-tan, wispy panicles. The foliage transitions from purple-red in the spring to blue-gray in the summer, and finally to vibrant pink, orange, and red in the fall. It thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soil.
